I wanted to improve my programming skills, but at the same time I wanted to get to know the most diverse projects that are important in IT at the moment.
Originally, it was not my plan to become a consultant. The consulting job had too bad a reputation. At a university event, synvert introduced itself and not only were the tasks interesting, but the synvert employees were also very likeable. Later, I also got to know an employee privately, so I could also talk to him about the job as an IT consultant at synvert and it didn't sound at all like the cliché of the consultancies I had in my head. So, I applied.
I work mainly in Hadoop cluster administration and as a data engineer in process mining. In the former, it's about providing the technical foundation for processing large amounts of data. In the area of process mining, my job is to create a common data basis from a wide variety of data sources so that data analysts can better understand work processes in order to improve workflows in the long term.
At synvert, I am not only able to continuously expand my knowledge, but also to explore many new topics - from efficient, classic data processing to the cloud. Not only do I get to work with great colleagues, but I also get to know a lot of great people at our customers. Working together is much more fun and we learn with and from each other.

synvert gave me the chance to work in an exciting field. I have the task of using various platforms to inspire different candidates to join synvert. In doing so, I can contribute my existing knowledge and give impulses that can help in the decision-making process. I also enjoy being able to be creative and try out a lot of new things.
In addition, I am interested in projects that I am personally passionate about. These include topics such as employer branding and social selling. Here I have now been given the opportunity to drive these projects forward and develop them significantly with the support of a team.
I like the open communication, the support of the synvert colleagues and the variety of tasks that this role offers.

Even though consultants are mostly wanted for the main business, synvert is also a great employer for students.
I'm Jan-Lukas, 23 years old, and I've been working at synvert for half a year now as a student trainee in telemarketing. My tasks are mainly technical, like researching potential new customers, but I also do some smaller jobs from time to time to make sure that the daily work routine is as pleasant as possible for the whole team.
In addition to the already very relaxed atmosphere, there are many other benefits at synvert that set the company apart from other employers. These include a large, open kitchen with a muesli bar, fully automatic coffee machines and a drinks fridge that is always full to bursting, the communal breakfast every Friday and the flexible working hours.
In my opinion, the latter is one of the biggest advantages for us students. At the moment, our student team consists of 10 people who, due to their different courses of study, sometimes have more and sometimes less stress during the semester. Because of the great atmosphere among us, it's no problem for us to work a little less for a few weeks and to come a little more often when other students don't have so much time.

synvert offered me the professional development opportunities in an attractive, young working environment that I was looking for when choosing my career. As a newcomer to the field, I was given the opportunity to reorient myself professionally and to contribute transfer knowledge.
In my current project, our team administers an on-premise data warehouse, but is also the contact for BI reporting. In addition to running the DWH, our main tasks include numerous development projects in the back- and front-end.
I am happy to master new challenges with my team every day. Due to the wide range of processes we support in our project, no challenge is like the previous one. In particular, our high level of knowledge exchange and communication leads us to success; everyone is there for everyone else.
For me, a good collegial environment plays a special role. Especially in my first weeks at synvert I was very happy about the many advices and the good cooperation with my colleagues even beyond different projects. I felt in good hands at synvert right from the start.

After my chemistry studies, I was sure that my future lay elsewhere, not in the chemical industry. A fellow student, who in the meantime had started working for synvert as a consultant, drew my attention to other open positions and I quickly wrote an application. Less than a month later, I was sitting in the Münster office learning the basics of AWS.
Since then, I have been able to demonstrate my expertise in the areas of cloud, data engineering and data governance in a wide variety of projects and learn many new things. The range of topics and activities at synvert makes the work extremely varied and exciting.
What I particularly appreciate about synvert as an employer, however, is the openness, understanding, and support that you receive as an employee. If something doesn't run smoothly in a project, or if you are dissatisfied, you can always talk about it openly and a solution will be found. If there are difficulties in your private life that have an impact on your daily work, there is understanding and support. At synvert, I simply feel safe as an employee and valued as a person.

As a working student, I find it very interesting to work at synvert. Especially as a student employee, I benefit from the uncomplicated hierarchy of the company. Not only is the contact with superiors trusting, but the tasks and activities are often challenging and allow a high degree of creative freedom. Working at synvert allows me to expand my skills in a good way alongside my studies and to gain professional experience with real added value. And that already during my studies! The flat company organization also allows me to contribute my own ideas in my field. You're always supported by great colleagues when it comes to implementing them. Exciting, challenging, team-oriented, trusting - that's the best way to describe working at synvert for me!

Why did you choose synvert your employer?
After successfully graduating from university, I was specifically looking for a management consultancy that was not only broadly positioned in terms of its client portfolio, but also focused on employee development. This is exactly what I found at synvert. From the very first days, you can literally feel the family-like relationship, not only with your colleagues, but also with your superiors, and you realize that each individual is a part of the whole that makes up the company.
In which projects / areas of work are you or have you been active?
I started in the data management and data warehouse area and then had the chance to specialize in new cloud technologies from Microsoft Azure and am now active as a cloud architect in the projects, but also a direct contact for internal issues.
What do you like about your work at synvert?
What I like about synvert is the variety, from a wide range of customer projects with various problems and challenges to sales presentations, marketing and internal company design, where you have a lot of freedom of action and can incorporate your own ideas. The family atmosphere gives you a good feeling every day, so that activities are planned and implemented even outside of work! If you want to live out your career accordingly, you have good prospects of realizing your potential here.
What points are important to you in your employer and to what extent did you find them at synvert?
Right from the start, it was important to me that there was a sense of cohesion, that there was trust in the employees, and that people could talk about and experience things away from work. It was also important for me to have the chance to prove myself and to expand and develop my career. Exactly these points were true for me at saracus, so I can proudly say that I have been part of it for five years.
