Not least due to the tense geo­pol­it­ical situ­ation, EU cloud solu­tions are exper­i­en­cing increas­ing demand within the DACH region. STACKIT, offered by the Schwarz Group, is con­sidered a pion­eer and has been provid­ing a com­plete cloud solu­tion since 2022. After an intro­duc­tion, we will explain how Stackit already func­tions today as both Infra­struc­ture as a Ser­vice (IaaS) and Plat­form as a Ser­vice (PaaS). Finally, we will high­light the advant­ages as well as the chal­lenges of STACKIT com­pared to the “Big Three” cloud pro­viders and on-premises solutions.
