Ini­tial situation

Our cus­tomer was car­ry­ing out report­ing (effi­ciency met­rics, fail­ure rates, pro­duc­tion out­put) in indi­vidual factor­ies inde­pend­ently of one another.

This made it dif­fi­cult to com­pare factor­ies to one another, and sub­sequently it was hard to extract busi­ness intel­li­gence across the entire scope of operations.
